Seize The Gray is Clare's purest neutral gray, a clean, fresh mid-gray with minimal undertones that stays reliably true across lighting conditions and room types. Where other grays pull green, warm, blue or taupe in certain light, Seize The Gray reads as a clear, straightforward gray throughout. That absence of bias is the point.
At an LRV of 59, Seize The Gray reflects plenty of light while holding genuine gray presence. It reads crisp and clean in natural daylight without tipping cold, and holds its character under warm or evening light without drifting toward an undertone it was never meant to have. The eggshell finish gives it a subtle sheen that reads refined without adding warmth or color. One reviewer used it across a living room, dining room, entryway, office and kitchen at the same time and described the result as light and airy in every space.
The neutral base pairs with anything: crisp or warm whites on trim, any wood tone and any accent color without creating an undertone clash. Snow Day or Timeless on trim both read cleanly alongside it. Seize The Gray works in living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, playrooms and open-plan spaces where a reliable, versatile pure gray is the goal. For something with a barely-there green quality, Motor City adds a subtle tinge. For significantly more depth, Irony goes to a dark charcoal at LRV 17.
