When we repainted one of our bathrooms, I was unsure of what color to choose because this room receives no natural light. We were adding white bead board and painting a wooden door white to lighten it up, so a pale purple seemed like a good option. I got the sample swatch, but I don't really have a good eye for understanding what a color will look like once it is more than just a small swatch. After I painted, I thought Wink must be more purplish than the swatch, but once I held up the swatch, it was a complete match. I love the color and how it plays with my dark floors. The purple hues are more pronounced in lower light. It looks great with the Clare ceiling paint. This was my first painting job and I felt like a pro by the time I was done. I used two coats of paint.

I assumed Wink was blue from the website and was sad that Clare didn’t sell a light purple. To my delight, Wink IS purple! Or at least a grayish violet. It definitely looks more like people’s pictures in reviews than Clare’s website image. It changes with the light—in my south-facing bedroom, it does sometimes look blueish, but next to Nairobi Blue it’s clearly purple (see photo). I love it!
