As someone with bad asthma, a no-voc and low-odor paint is a requirement for me, especially if it's going in a space I frequent. We used to use the Behr paint that was no-voc and low-odor but it still had a very noticeable odor and took a long time to dry and get in two coats, and sometimes two coats wasn't even enough to get a good finish. But it was no-voc and that was good.
But then we tried Clare, and even though this is like twice the cost, it is definitely at least twice as nice. The colors are so nice once they are on the wall. There's almost no odor at all, which was surprising, especially when we used it in a small room with minor ventilation. We forgot to buy white paint from Clare's for the baseboards and you could immediately smell the difference as soon as you walked in the room between the Clare paint and the "regular paint".
And as someone with a kid, it's been surprisingly resilient. Honestly it's just solid on all aspects which is shocking to me. But that definitely makes it worth the extra money for me. Only took two coats and it didn't take long to dry between coats either, so it's much faster to finish application of this paint.
