At Clare, we work hard to make things better and better over time— whether we’re simplifying color palettes or helping you upgrade to zero-VOC, GREENGUARD Gold certified paints. E-commerce leaves lots of room for improvement, like reducing packaging waste and making shipping more efficient. So, we redesigned our swatch packaging to minimize materials and lower our environmental impact.

Before

Our previous packaging, while it looked beautiful, consisted of two separate paper items — an outer envelope that was almost twice the size of our swatches, plus a smaller folder inside to hold the swatches together. 

After

Our updated packaging is an integrated mailer and folder with a smaller overall size than our previous mailer, plus, the all-in-one design eliminates the need for a second folder inside. Here are a few other highlights:

• Streamlined mailer = less waste
• 100% recycled, FSC certified paperboard = more responsible materials
• Slimmer package for lighter, tighter shipping = smaller footprint

Our swatches are still the same easy-to-use format in your favorite colors, but now they ship more sustainably. While we won’t always do everything perfectly, we’ll continue to seek progress over perfection and we're always open to feedback. Feel free to drop us a line to share your thoughts!
