- Clare Introduces New Family of 4-Amp Dual-Channel Low-Side Gate Drivers
July 6, 2010–Beverly, Massachusetts, USA – Clare, Inc., an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS – News) The IXD_604, the first of a series of high current, low side gate driver ICs to be offered by Clare, is especially well suited for driving IXYS power MOSFETs and IGBTs. Each of the two outputs can source and sink 4A of peak current, while producing rise and fall times of less than 10ns. Low propagation delays, and fast and matched rise and fall times makes the IXD_604 ideal for high-frequency and high-power applications.

- Clare Introduces a New High-Voltage LED Driver with 8V to 550V Input Voltage Range and Greater than 90% Efficiency
April 15, 2010–Beverly, Massachusetts, USA – Clare, Inc., an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS – News) and world leader in the design and manufacture of high voltage, analog and mixed signal ICs, announces the immediate availability of the CPC9909 High-Voltage HB LED driver. The CPC9909 can drive from a few to hundreds of HB LEDs in-series and/or parallel combinations in a constant peak-current control topology. Manufactured using Clare’s 550V BCDMOS Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) process, the CPC9909 operates directly off a rectified AC voltage supply, and does not require any additional low voltage supplies. LED brightness can be controlled via the pulse frequency modulation (PWM) or linear dimming inputs.

- Clare Introduces their First High Current, 60V Dual 1-Form-A Solid State Relay
in a Narrow 8-Pin SOIC Packager
January 12, 2010–Beverly, Massachusetts, USA – Clare, Inc., an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS – News) The CPC2014N is 40% smaller than the popular standard 8-lead SOIC, thus enabling significant PC board space savings. The CPC2014N is Clare’s first dual SSR in an 8-pin narrow SOIC. It features 400mA of current handling in combination with only 2 Ohms of maximum
on-resistance, making it an excellent design choice for applications demanding low impedance switching. Specifically designed for use in security systems complying with EN50130-4, the CPC2014N offers substantial board space savings over the competition’s larger 8-Pin SOIC. This semiconductor-based relay can be driven directly from low voltage logic ICs, and thus is ideal for automated power control.

- Clare Introduces 200-Volt Optically-Isolated, Self-Biased Gate Driver
October 20, 2009–Beverly, Massachusetts, USA – Clare, Inc., an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS – News), announces the immediate production release of the CPC1590, an optically isolated MOSFET gate-driver integrated circuit which uses a bootstrap biasing technique to eliminate the load-side power supply. An external power MOSFET is controlled by the application of a low input LED current (2.5 to 10mA) to the CPC1590, which activates the internal load-side driver circuit. The CPC1590 IC connected to the load, together with an external storage capacitor provides bias to the internal driver circuit which eliminates a costly power supply. This device is specifically designed for low duty-cycle switching frequencies and offers isolated solid-state control to replace large modules and multi-component discrete solutions.
