Clare Introduces New Addition to Family of 4-Pin, 1-Form-A Solid State Relays with
5000Vrms Input/Output Isolation
CPC1394G Targets High Voltage Metering and Medical Equipment Applications
July 21, 2009–Beverly, Massachusetts, USA – Clare, Inc., an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS – News) and world leader in the design and manufacture of high voltage, analog and mixed signal ICs, announces the immediate availability of their new 4-pin, 5000Vrms isolation barrier, OptoMOS® 1-Form-A (Single Pole, Normally Open), Solid State Relay. This CPC1394G offers a blocking voltage of 600V, maximum current handling capability of 120mA, and an on-resistance of 35 Ohms. This 4-pin device is offered in both DIP and surface mount packages.
Clare's latest 5000Vrms OptoMOS relay expands the current offering of miniature 4-pin package devices, providing the optimal combination of voltages and currents to designers. These devices take advantage of Clare's many years of experience with multi-chip packaging and proprietary leadframe design to achieve a 5000Vrms input-to-output isolation.
The high-performance CPC1394 device targets metering and medical equipment markets where long-life and reliable performance in harsh environments are critical, and is Clare’s highest voltage/current handling 4-pin DIP device offered. In addition, this device is suited for applications, where it is desirable to cut off the rectified high voltage DC power, in off line charger and power supplies in the 5-watts range, to eliminate their standby power dissipation, known as “vampire power” waste.
Pricing and Availability
The CPC1394 is available in production quantities.
For OEM quantities of 25KU, pricing is $0.79, with a standard lead-time of five weeks ARO.
