Clare Introduces New 4-Pin Solid State Relay with Internationally
Compliant Supplementary Isolation

February 5, 2008–Beverly, Massachusetts, USA – Clare, Inc., an IXYS company (NASDAQ: IXYS – News), announced the immediate availability of their new high voltage, 4-pin, 1-Form-A (Single Pole, Normally Open) Solid State Relay (SSR). The CPC1225N is a miniature relay in a 4-pin SOP package that employs optically coupled MOSFET technology to provide 1500Vrms of input-to-output isolation and is compliant for supplementary isolation in accordance with EN/IEC 60950-1.

The CPC1225N uses Clare's state of the art double-molded vertical construction to produce one of the world's smallest 4-pin relays. The CPC1225N offers board-space savings of 20% over the competitor's larger 4-pin SOP relay.

This device is an excellent choice for telecom and industrial equipment that demands high voltage switching capabilities. Target markets and applications for these devices include telecom and modern switching and tip/ring circuits.
